Diablo View Rotary Club’s Vision for 2018

On Tuesday, May 14, 2013 the members of Diablo View Rotary Club of Walnut Creek met and set our goals to achieve by 2018. These are the goals that we have set forth in our vision.

  • Premier Walnut Creek Club for young people to get involved
  • Continue to partner with other clubs to get grants
  • Present at all community events to focus on Rotary

  • Our members have performed the most volunteer hours performed per capital in District 5160
Club Service
  • Most unique meetings / program in the district
  • Fellowship get together away from weekly meetings
  • Website showcases our Club & Individual successes
Vocational / New Generation
  • Scholarship program for innovation social responsibility
  • Youth vocational mentorship program
  • Members speak at local Interact Clubs
Community Service
  • Gain Five members a year from fellowship meetings and at volunteer projects
  • 1,000 hours of Community Service per year
  • Monthly service program with 40% member participation
International Service
  • Perform a project in Mexico, spending 250 hours per year in Mexico
  • Fundraise for sustainable projects
  • Host two youth exchange students per year
  • Third Annual Beer / Wine Stroll raising $30k / year
Vocational / New Generation
  • 100% Participation Giving
  • 50% of members are Paul Harris Fellows
  • Club Annual Giving – $5k minimum / year
Leadership Development
  • Leadership Workshops
  • Bi-Annual summits for Past, Present, and Future Leaders
  • Every member on a club committee
  • All members to take ownership of one club function
