What is Rotary?
Rotary’s main objective is service — in the community, in the workplace, and around the globe. The 1.2 million Rotarians who make up more than 34,000 Rotary clubs in nearly every country in the world share a dedication to the ideal of Service Above Self.
Rotary clubs are open to people of all cultures and ethnicities and are not affiliated with any political or religious organizations.
About Diablo View Rotary
While we appreciate the international aspect of Rotary, our club’s members primarily services our local community. We organize outings within our community to clean the beaches, sort food at local food banks, serve meals to those in need, package reading materials for local tutors to use in the area’s schools, and anything else that our members can do to make our community better.
Come to a Meeting
We are a “cocktail hour” club. We meet weekly on Tuesdays at 5:45 pm in downtown Walnut Creek, CA. Our meetings are fun Happy Hours. The format of our meetings begins with some time to mingle and get some dinner, then we invite a speaker to come and talk to us. Speakers range from local charities informing us on how they help to serve the community, to veterans sharing their stories, and local business owners explaining what they do and how they started.
Interested in coming to a meeting? Please come and check us out. Come about 15 minutes before the meeting to chat with our members. This is a great place to connect with local professionals, make friends with people that live in the area, and most important of all fill that gap in your Tuesday night schedule. Did we mention that we serve beer and dinner? Be sure to check our calendar.
If you have an interesting topic to share with our club or have questions regarding our speaker schedule, please contact David Pearson.
